On this day in 1897 Old Man Nick Licata was born in Sicily. He would lead the Los Angeles Crime Family 7 years through from 1967 to 1974 when he would die at the age of 77. In his career he was held in contempt of court for refusing to break the code of Omerta and give information about the LA syndicate and its structure.
