March 1936: Lucky Luciano Flees New York

In late March 1936, Lucky Luciano received a tip that he was going to be arrested on charges that stemmed back to an investigation into a prostitution racket. Lucky decided to flee to Hot Springs, Arkansas to wait for the investigation and heat to die down.

Unfortunately for him, a New York detective in Hot Springs on a different assignment spotted Luciano and notified Dewey.

On April 3, Luciano was arrested in Hot Springs on a criminal warrant from New York.
